This was the start off for my year 2011 with Tamim. We opted for a serene celebration heading to Puerto Galera for both beach and waterfall trip. We stayed for three days and two nights since we both still have our classes .

We arrived at Puerto Galera past 11 in the morning. We were supposed to stay somewhere in White Beach but did not really like the place so we transfered to Tamaraw Resort. After our lunch and rest, we headed to Tamaraw Falls. We were advised to hire a private tricycle but we chose to ride a jeepney which is more practical and faster. The water of Tamaraw Falls cascaded down the high cliff and into a man-made water area which channeled the water under the road. We stayed there for hours then we moved to the White beach before the evening drew in to relax and take sunset photos.

DAY 2
We went to Tukuran Falls. Going there was not easy, first we rode a jeepney to San Teodoro then tricycle to the area where we hired two kids for the carabao pulled oxcart. Going to Tukuran falls was so exhausting but it was worth it. The road scenery is lush green vegetation with patches of rice field. Tukuran Falls is a very quiet place. Its water ran several layers of parched rock. We were also able to went for a dip on some areas but the currents were strong. We climbed the rock layers for photos but it was slippery.

DAY 3
We just stayed at our resort area because we haven't checked the area that time plus we were leaving at noon time. Just waking farther and catching up for the sunshine, we brought ourselves in a much quieter place than our resort. Its beach area is cleaner too. We came back past 11 for packing then headed to White Beach for our lunch and boat ride back to Batangas port.

I thought that Puerto Galera is not nice and too crowded but when taking a look on its surroundings results to a paradise with mountains covered in tropical forests. It's nice to go back here during weekends to have a quick time-out from the city rush and school.

will hit beach soon!
