Undercover

That's me wearing a Vietnamese traditional hat called non la---> my sort of undercover uniform. spent my first few hours walking along the streets of Ho Chi Minh City and taking snapshots of whatever amusing to my eyes. It was first mission in the city although I've been warned already of camera thefts on the streets of HCM but I just can't stop clicking my camera. I was unmindful of my safety and was more concerned with my mission in exploring the city. Maybe I was just lucky that my actions did not lead me to be robbed off but it still pays to travel smart and be careful all the time because theft happens everywhere and in any form.

Boat Quay

(headband Topshop, dress used as top and pants from OVERDOSE, wedges Nava)

Afternoon stroll with Papa at Boat Quay which is just a 5 to 8 minute walk from my brother's office. Especially in the afternoon, many people hangout at Boat Quay for a river front dine or drink and/or just to sit back, relax and enjoy the nice view. I can't miss having an outfit shot with such a nice place plus I love my classic ensemble here. The top here is supposed to be a dress but I burned the lower part when I was ironing it. It's a bit consoling that I was able to use it as a top paired with my cotton and sheer pants. I remember bringing many wide leg cotton pants on that trip. Cotton is just too comfy!

Tiffany's Leftovers

Photos by Jayme Almiranes

This is my sequel on one my all time favorite movies, Breakfast at Tiffany's and called it Tiffany's leftover. :) When I was choosing the outfit for this shoot, I wanted an Edie Sedgwick look using turtle neck and tights. It was just after fixing the set up for the shoot that we changed our inspiration from Edie Sedgwick to Audrey Hepburn as Holly Golightly in Breakfast at Tiffany's.

Red head

This is the result of my hair color change. I chose to have an auburn hair color for a change because my natural hair color is brown and I did black as well. I don't know the specific color name because my hair stylist did some mixes of colors to achieve this.

Betsey J- esque

(Denim top from Divadolls, pink bra from La Senza, leopard skirt, colored stockings from Landmark, Tonic wedges, Jean Paul Gaultier backpack)

This is my Betsey Johnson inspired shoot. If you browse my old blog posts, you will notice that I am not really into wearing colorful and bright outfits. I am usually in black or just anything dark. For this shoot with Jayme Almiranes, I decided to take a risk  by wearing this colorful set of clothes and having those flirty poses.lol! I personally will not go out with this super colorful outfit although it turned out to be cute but it is just so not me. The skirt that I am wearing is only less than 2 dollars from a roadsale. I had this skirt for years and just used it this time. I only got it because it reminded me of my Barbie doll days and not because I want to wear it when I go out or something. Even my friends had these shocked reactions when I showed them the skirt and asked me if I will really wear it. Well I guess it's time for me to divert from from my love for dark colors even just for this shoot and it's worth the risk because I felt like Barbie seeing these beautiful photos. Most of us girls want to have our "Barbie doll" moment right? :)
