TOPSHOP TOP, SPF BIKINI TOP, THAI PANTS FROM VIETNAM, ISLAND GIRL SANDALS

These photos were taken in one of the gorgeous villas in Shangri- La, Boracay. I was there to assist my photographer friend for a wedding shoot. I can't help but gush over the lovely villa from every angle. Aside from the wooden floors and furniture, it is perfectly designed for a natural lighting which is one of the aspects that I personally want for my own place.

Postcard Thursdays: Mekong River Cruise

SAM_6908

My mom and I went for a day trip Mekong River tour during our last day at Ho Chi Minh. We had enough time to join the tour since our flight back to Philippines was late anyway. It was a perfect way of spending our last day there because the experience is just unforgettable. The boat ride through some villages in the Mekong River was my favorite part in the tour. We had stopovers in these villages where we got to see the way of living of their community. It was really a short time to experience a lot of things. A day tour isn't definitely enough if you want to see the long stretch of the river.

ELEPHANT THAI PANTS FR. BORACAY, HANDMADE SANDALS FR. VIETNAM

PHOTO TAKEN AT PHAM NGU LAO STREET, HO CHI MINH, VIETNAM

This is my first blog post for my new segment on my blog. Thursday posts will consist of a single photo from one of the places I've been to. Ever since I was a kid, I've always had a passion for traveling. It started with those road trips with my family going to the beach during weekends. During school breaks- Christmas and summer, we usually take a ship or a plane heading to other places in the Philippines. We were trained to commute at an early age, that's why we don't get dizzy even when we were kids.

My family is not able to travel together anymore because we live in different places. I now have my friends whom I met from my travels that influence me to travel more. My experiences together with theirs are all contributions to my growing wanderlust.

Bliss

IMG_2600 copy

Monday is the official start of my week or should I say school/work. That sucks right? As much as I want to hide under my sheets and sleep some more, I need to get up and face the day with a happy heart like in this photo taken last March. My beaming smile in this photo is a motivation for me to finish my deadlines so that I can hop off to my next destination and feel that kind of happiness again.

“She loves the serene brutality of the ocean, loves the electric power she felt with each breath of wet, briny air.”
― Holly Black, Tithe

I am now back after my long hiatus. I just had the most awesome summer vacation in Romblon and Boracay. I was supposed to spend a week for each place but I extended my stay in Boracay for three more weeks. More than a month of vacation is definitely not enough. I needed to go back here in the city to finish my thesis. I wish I can turn back the time and stop it right there in Boracay which is now my second home.

Unwanted tone

I visit the salon every two to three months either to have color retouch or to change the shade completely. The main problem when it comes to my hair color is its natural orange tones. My hair colorist' usual solution to this problem is applying ash color to kill the unwanted orange tones. This usually doesn't last for a long time due to hair color oxidation. Hair color oxidation can be caused by shampoos or sun exposure. In my case, it is the latter.

VINTAGE VELVET DRESS c/o my Auntie

Loving this velvet dress from my Aunt. It's perfect for occasions where you have to be well-dressed. I also think that velvet fabric can add to a romantic vibe easily plus it's so soft and smooth that I can't just get enough feeling it! Too bad velvet isn't for warm countries though. :l

Casablanca to the Sahara

Waking up early for school on a rainy day is one of the hardest things to do. But not today. This awesome video made me wide awake. I am so inspired to have another adventure again and yes I am thinking of a roadtrip too! Morocco has always been part of my travel list but seeing this video made me want to visit the beautiful country at the soonest time possible. Agh, I miss traveling. I can't wait to finish my school and have both planned and unplanned journeys.
